My Calendar

In my bathroom I have a calendar on the wall. Each day I write "I love.......(their name) on the space. If they have a birthday, then I write their name, if someone is sick, I write their name................a ballgame, a meeting, a call from someone I haven't heard from in a while, if someone comes by.......their name is put in the place of honor. Now if I can think of no thing that anyone is doing that day, I just start with the oldest of my kids. (That would be Lana). If any of you call me or come by, then I will put your name in that day's space. Sometimes I get in trouble for not putting a name that my kids think should go there. But it is MY calendar, and they should know that I love them all. This is something I started last year and it kinda takes place of the days I forget to write in my journal. I've been keeping journals since...........well, I found one last year that was dated 1972. There wasn't much in it, but maybe someday the kids will read them and remember. Or maybe I should just burn them in a few years. Everyone should keep a journal of their daily life. Don's grandmother kept one for years and hers was very informative and so interesting to read. Alas, mine won't be, but......................anyway!

Yes..my name is not in January yet...but I understand your system now. lol.
And...you will NOT burn your journals...you will give them to us to read and we will all sit around and giggle! Just kidding, lol.

What a neat idea! I wish I would have kept some of my journals from a long time ago, it would be fun to go back and read them now.

I think that is a great idea! By the way...don't dare burn your journals. Your children and grandchildren will cherish them someday. I'm sure they are not nearly as boring as you think they are. Keep writing in them!
